- Hello,
-
- Does anyone know what sort of speeds the CIA chips can handle from the mouse
- or joystick ports ?
-
- I presume that the mouse fires pulses into the port fairly rapidly for its
- movement but I don't know if it would be fast enough for my needs.
-
- My idea is to use the joystick port as a simple serial type port but I really
- need it to run at 1200bps. Is this sort of speed possible and what is the
- theoretical maximum speed you can toggle one of the switches ?
-
- If it is possible then the ideal solution would be a device which could be
- used just like the original serial.device, can anyone point me in the
- direction of something like this which already exists or even some source on
- creating devices please.
-
- Thanks,
-
